Lions trade T.J. Hockenson to Minnesota, four draft picks exchanged between both teams

The Detroit Lions have made a mid-season trade with a divisional rival in the Minnesota Vikings as tight end T.J. Hockenson has been dealt to the Vikings with 2023 and 2024 draft picks being exchanged between both sides.

Hockenson, the former Iowa Hawkeye, was drafted by the Lions with the 8th overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft and is currently under contract through the 2023 season.

In his three-plus seasons with the Lions, the 25-year-old compiled 2,068 receiving yards on 186 receptions for 15 touchdowns.
