The #1-ranked Grand Valley State Football team went into Saturday’s Regional Final against the rival Ferris State Bulldogs at Lubbers Stadium holding a 21-14 lead going into the fourth quarter but were unable to hold it as the Bulldogs kicked the eventual game-winning field goal with 1:04 remaining to stun the Lakers by a 24-21 final.

With the loss, GVSU ends its 2022 campaign with a 12-1 record that included an outright GLIAC Regular Season Championship.
