The Detroit Pistons have inked general manager Troy Weaver to a contract extension. The terms were not immediately available.

Weaver is currently in his third season as Pistons general manager since coming over from the Oklahoma City Thunder.

The 54-year-old is the architect of the current full-blown Pistons rebuild that has seen the team go 20-52 in 2020-21 followed by a 23-59 mark in 2021-22.

Weaver was officially hired as general manager of the Pistons back on June 18th, 2020.
