It’s official, Ford Field in downtown Detroit will be the host site for not just one United States Football League team, but TWO USFL teams during the upcoming 2023 season.
Detroit is now one of four hub cities that will host two teams each joining Birmingham, Alabama (Birmingham Stallions and New Orleans Breakers), Memphis, Tennessee (Houston Gamblers and Memphis Showboats), and Canton, Ohio (New Jersey Generals and Pittsburgh Maulers). Birmingham hosted all games last season, and the Memphis Showboats replace the Tampa Bay Bandits on this year’s list of teams participating.
The first Michigan Panthers home game is slated for Sunday, April 30th.
