Red Wings extend captain Dylan Larkin for eight more seasons

It’s (finally) done.

The Detroit Red Wings and captain Dylan Larkin have officially come to terms on an eight-year contract extension worth almost $70 million.

Larkin was drafted by Detroit with the 15th overall pick during the 2014 NHL Entry Draft and is currently in his third season as captain of the Red Wings.

To date, the 26-year-old native of Waterford, Michigan has skated in 563 career NHL games totaling 169 goals and 246 assists.
