For the first time since winning it back-to-back in 2005 and 2006, the Grand Valley State Women’s Basketball team has won the GLIAC Postseason Tournament Championship following a 62-54 victory over the Michigan Tech Huskies at the GVSU Fieldhouse Arena in Allendale.
The Lakers capture the regular season and postseason GLIAC titles while improving to 29-2 overall on the season.
GVSU will now hit the road to Ashland, Ohio to begin NCAA Tournament play on Friday, March 10th with a Regional Quarterfinal matchup against the Kentucky Wesleyan Panthers at noon.
