Michigan Hockey lands a #1 seed in upcoming NCAA Tournament, Western Michigan also gets in

The University of Michigan Ice Hockey team is back in the NCAA Tournament after capturing their second consecutive Big Ten Tournament Championship in Minnesota against the Golden Gophers over the weekend.

Also, the Wolverines have garnered a #1 seed and will head to Allentown, Pennsylvania for Regional action that begins on Friday night.

Under first-year interim head coach Brandon Naurato, the Wolverines finished the regular season and Big Ten Tournament play with a 24-11-3 overall record that included a 12-10-2 mark in regular season Big Ten play, which was good for second-place behind Minnesota.

In addition, the Western Michigan Broncos are dancing with a 23-14-1 overall record and will take on Boston University this Thursday afternoon at 2:30 pm in the Manchester, New Hampshire Regional.
