Lions complete eight-player draft class, D’Andre Swift traded to Philadelphia on Day Three

Two first-rounders, a pair of second-round picks, two third-rounders, one fifth-round selection, and a seventh-round pick.

Below are the players the Detroit Lions took during the 2023 NFL Draft that consisted of eight different positions in a running back, middle linebacker, safety, tight end, defensive tackle, quarterback, offensive lineman, and wide receiver:

In addition, the Lions made a notable trade with the Philadelphia Eagles during Day Three of the draft in sending D’Andre Swift to the Eagles.

The 24-year-old Swift was drafted by the Lions with the 35th overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft and appeared in 40 games over three seasons in Detroit totaling 1,680 rush yards to go with 18 touchdowns and notched 1,198 receiving yards to go with 7 touchdowns.
