The Detroit Pistons’ 2023 NBA Draft ended with a pair of selections, both in the first-round, in Ausar Thompson, who was selected with the 5th overall pick, and Marcus Sasser, who was picked 25th overall following a draft night trade with the Boston Celtics in exchange for the 31st pick, the first selection in the second-round.
The 20-year-old Thompson spent the past two seasons in Overtime Elite, while the 22-year-old Sasser played four seasons collegiately with the Houston Cougars.
