Tigers Weekly Report: The break is (finally) here

This past week was definitely not the way the Detroit Tigers wanted to head into the All-Star Break.

The week began with dropping of three at home to the worst team in baseball, the Oakland Athletics, followed by losing two of three at home to the Toronto Blue Jays to cap off a 2-4 week.

Detroit now sits at 39-50 overall heading into the All-Star Break and 5.5 games back of the first-place Cleveland Guardians, who have now leap-frogged the Minnesota Twins for the top spot in the American League Central.

However, there was a bit of good news from the past week:

The schedule is light for the Tigers this week due to the All-Star Break as they’ll return to action on Friday on the road:

Friday-Sunday: at Seattle Mariners (T-Mobile Park)
