Detroit Tigers starting pitcher Michael Lorenzen came on in the middle of the seventh inning in relief during Tuesday night’s All-Star Game in Seattle throwing 18 pitchers, 10 for strikes, walking one batter and striking out another in 2/3 of an inning pitched.
For his efforts, Lorenzen earned a hold in the game, but ultimately, the National League would edge out the American League by a 3-2 final for their first win in the “Midsummer Classic” since 2012.
