The Detroit Tigers made their first Major League Baseball Trade Deadline move with a few hours to spare in dealing pitcher Michael Lorenzen to the Philadelphia Phillies in exchange for Hao-Yu Lee.

The 20-year-old Hao-Yu Lee has spent the majority of the 2023 season with the High-A Jersey Shore BlueClaws and can play second, shortstop, or third base.

The 31-year-old Lorenzen started 18 games for the Tigers this season posting a 5-7 record to go with a 3.58 ERA and earning his first All-Star nod.
