The Detroit Tigers have struck a minor deal with the Boston Red Sox in trading relief pitcher Trey Wingenter to the Red Sox in exchange for minor league pitcher CJ Weins.
The 30-year-old Wingenter appeared in 17 games for the Tigers last season compiling a 5.82 ERA in 17 innings pitched to go with 22 strikeouts and 7 walks.
