The Detroit Pistons and former 2021 #1 overall pick in Cade Cunningham have agreed on a new five-year rookie max contract extension that will kick in beginning in the 2025-26 NBA season.
The soon-to-be 23-year-old Cunningham has appeared in 138 games over three seasons for the Pistons averaging 20 points, 5 rebounds, and 6.5 assists per game.
During his time in Detroit, Cunningham played in 64 of a possible 82 games during his rookie season in 2021-22, only 12 games in 2022-23, and 62 games this past season.
