The Detroit Red Wings and forward Joe Veleno have agreed on a new two-year contract and will not have to go through any future arbitration hearing.

Since being drafted by the Red Wings with the 30th overall pick in the 2018 NHL Entry Draft, the 24-year-old Veleno has skated in 232 career games over the course of five seasons for Detroit totaling 30 goals and 34 assists.
