Tigers complete a .500 trip out west with three losses by a combined four runs

The Detroit Tigers traveled out west this past week for a six-game road swing in Seattle and San Francisco against the Mariners and Giants, respectively, and came away with a 3-3 record with their three losses being by a combined four runs that included two walk-off losses.

Detroit began the trip taking two of three from the Mariners followed by dropping two of three over the weekend against the Giants.

Now, the Tigers sit at 56-63 overall on the season, 13.5 games back of the first-place Cleveland Guardians, with 43 games remaining in the season.

This week, the Tigers return to Comerica Park for a six-game homestand that begins with three games on Tuesday-Thursday against the Seattle Mariners followed by three games this weekend on Friday-Sunday against the New York Yankees.
