The Detroit Red Wings have agreed to terms with restricted free agent Jonatan Berggren on a one-year contract right before the beginning of Training Camp up in Traverse City.
The 24-year-old Berggren was drafted by the Red Wings in the second-round (33rd overall) of the 2018 NHL Entry Draft and has skated in 79 career games with Detroit totaling 17 goals and 17 assists.
The native of Sweden has also spent a good portion of his professional career in the American Hockey League with the Grand Rapids Griffins appearing in 139 games tallying 54 goals and 83 assists.
Now, that leaves two big contracts to figure out for Steve Yzerman, Moritz Seider and Lucas Raymond.
