The #4-ranked Grand Valley State Football team took the trip to the tip of the Upper Peninsula in Houghton to battle the Michigan Tech Huskies looking to keep pace at the top of the GLIAC standings as well as the Regional Rankings nationally come playoff time.
In a game that was statistically dominated by the Lakers, the offense put together some timely drives, while the defense gave the Huskies’ offense no room to breathe in a 20-0 shutout road victory to improve to 9-1 overall and 5-1 in GLIAC play with one regular season game remaining.

This Saturday, the Lakers conclude the regular season with a trip to the Chicagoland area to take on the newest GLIAC member in the 1-8 Roosevelt Lakers.
