Tigers’ Tarik Skubal and A.J. Hinch named finalists for A.L. Cy Young and Manager of the Year

Detroit Tigers pitching ace Tarik Skubal and manager A.J. Hinch have tabbed as one of three finalists for the American League Cy Young and Manager of the Year, respectively, by Major League Baseball (MLB).

This past season, the soon-to-be 28-year-old Skubal posted an 18-4 record to go with a 2.39 ERA, 228 strikeouts, and 35 walks in 31 starts. In three postseason starts, Skubal posted a 1-1 record with a 3.46 ERA, 14 strikeouts, and only one walk.

In four seasons with the Tigers, the 50-year old Hinch has compiled a 307-341 record to go with last season’s playoff appearance.

The A.L. Cy Young winner will be announced at 6 pm on November 20th, and the A.L. Manager of the Year winner will be released at 6 pm on November 19th.
