Bills outlast Lions to snap Detroit’s eleven-game win streak

For the first time since Week #2 of the regular season, the Detroit Lions tasted bitter defeat from the opposition as Josh Allen and the surging Buffalo Bills showed up to Ford Field this past Sunday and willed their way to a wild 48-42 shootout victory to snap Detroit’s long winning streak.

The Lions fall to 12-2 on the season with both losses coming at home to Tampa Bay and Buffalo and has created a situation where the Philadelphia Eagles and Minnesota Vikings have caught Detroit in the win column when it comes to the #1 overall seed in the NFC and NFC North race.

However, the Lions do hold the tiebreaker over both teams in having a better conference record than the Eagles and currently holding the head-to-head advantage over the Vikings.

Here’s how the NFC North looks going into the final three weeks of the regular season:

Detroit Lions – 12-2 (4-0 NFC North)
Minnesota Vikings – 12-2 (3-1 NFC North)
Green Bay Packers – 10-4 (1-3 NFC North)
Chicago Bears – 4-10 (0-4 NFC North)

This Sunday afternoon, the Lions head to the Windy City to take on the struggling Chicago Bears for an NFC North tilt inside Soldier Field at 1 pm.
